My father had a hip surgery in 2019. While he has recovered mostly, he is still not quite strong physically, and needs constant reminders to take medication and shower daily. He also doesn't do much exercise, except for very short walks in the morning outside the house, but he should really be doing more mild walking daily.

I would like this carer to visit my father daily, go on short walks with him, chit-chat, go out for breakfast or lunch, ensure his medication is taken, chauffeur and accompany him to medical appointments, remind him to shower daily, help change his bedsheets and do his laundry every week.

I live and work overseas, so it's difficult not being in the same country as my father. He likes being independent and can still move about fine, sometimes driving himself out to get food, but he is getting more absent-minded, and doesn't have good eye distancing skills anymore, so he really should not be driving. My eldest aunt is there to help but she is getting older and soon won't be able to help much.

My father's condition is not so bad that he needs to be put up at a nursing home, however there is no one nearby, other than my eldest aunt, who can help. He mainly needs someone to talk to him daily to stimulate his mind, remind him gently to take his medication and to shower, and to keep active, and every month take him to the doctor, sit with him, get the medication, send him home and also sort out the medication into the day and night pill boxes.

I would prefer this carer to be a male. My father is tall, so would need a physically stronger person to assist him, in case he falls.
