Dear Family,

I do not have professional experience as an elderly carer, although I cared for my dear elderly mother through her illness until her death. Also, outside work hours at weekends, I volunteered at a BUPA care home, where I organised activity afternoons (tea-times, quiz, dancing) and spent one-to-one companionship time with a resident, a sweet, lovely 100-year-old lady.

I love and respect the elderly, and want to provide your family member with a sense of dignity in this stage of their life, offer them friendly companionship, and to encourage and motivate them with whatever possible independent living they can and/or they want, to manage.

English is my first language but I have grown up in a Greek family and lived in Greece for many years (I am married to a Greek), so I speak and read the language well.I am healthy and fit, and a sociable, happy, person.

Professionally, I am an executive assistant with a long career serving within corporate environments but also within the travel industry and more recently in healthcare, working for a psychiatrist. I have a high proficiency in communication skills, including nd other correspondence, excel spreadsheets.
