Committed to continues learning, even if I already got my degree (4 years in Human Resources). I went back to study a course that can create an impact in the lives of other. The COVID pandemic taught me that the most important meaning of life is to not just exist, but to live! Making me realize that I can still live my life while helping other. I am Mariella, 25 years of age from the Philippines. Last year after pandemic and the impact of realization it gives me, I studied Caregiving course which took me 7 months to finish. A comprehensive course which contains Basic Life Support, CPR-AED, Meals Prep, First-Aid and Mobility assistance. Course that will make my eyes fully opened about caring the most vulnerable groups in our society; the children, those with special needs and the elderly. During my study I vowed to be a
regular blood donor as I pledge to walk this current journey with full heart and commitment. After my study I also volunteer in a homecare facility caring elders. I have handled elder's with dementia, diabetes, hypertension, post-stroke, blind, hearing-impairment, respiratory problem, arthritis and many more. I want to leave something memorable every after duty. So I sing for them! Old souls... classic songs that for sure our dear elders would love. I dance with them. I sit beside them. I talk to them and ask how are they. This profession is a very rewarding role. It made me grateful and blessed in the situation I am currently in and feeling so loved by the people I cared even if they need it more. I want to seek an employment overseas to learn multi-cultural diversity and to save enough so I can help more people back home. :)
