I graduated bachelor's degree in midwifery with registered licensed. Currently working as a senior midwife in a hospital set up, a 343 bedded tertiary health care facility with a state-of-the-art medical facility and advance care, assigned in emergency department which we are catering different kinds of diagnosis giving the high level of care that our patient deserves.
I am a basic life support provider and neonatal resuscitation provider with a certificate under American heart center.
My rules and responsibilities are as follows but not limited to:
1. IV cannulation
2. Phlebotomy
3. Administering medications as per doctor's order.
4. Take patients vital signs. Report or record fluid intake and output: observe and monitor patients' status and documents patient care on chart: administer first aid in emergency situation: collect specimen such as urine, feces, administer suppositories, colonic irrigation, enemas and perform other procedures as directed.
5. Moving, handling and positioning patient.
6.May transport patients between care facilities.
7. Ensure that nursing care plan are written and up to date. Always taking the patients individual needs into account.
8. Communicates clearly and effectively with other departments in booking procedures, tracking information and obtaining supplies or equipment for staff and patient.
9. Handling and assisting vaginal delivery
10. Assesses the patient and determine deviations from normal during the process of labor and post-partum period.
11. Assist the team in dealing with a life-threatening situation to provide initial stabilization pending arrival of the physician.
12. Assesses and care for the normal newborn immediately after birth.
13. Provides assistance with post-partum care including breastfeeding.
14. Apply Cardiotocography machine to determine fetal heartbeat.
15. Provide advice and guidance regarding care for newborn and young infant.
16. Cleans equipment, forward same for re-sterilization.


I am a passport holder with valid expiry. I can be flexible and willing to learn with regards to patient care and safety.
