My pet sitting responsibilities include maintaining feeding schedules according to owner instructions, ensuring constant access to fresh water, dog walking and exercise routines based on breed and energy levels, litter box and living area cleaning, and maintaining a clean and safe environment for pets. I also assist with basic grooming such as brushing and general hygiene care. I am comfortable administering basic oral medication when clear instructions are provided by the owner or veterinarian.

I am experienced in caring for pets with different temperaments, including high energy, shy, anxious, and senior animals. I monitor behaviour changes, appetite, energy levels, and stress signals, and I communicate any concerns to the pet owner promptly. I also provide regular updates, photos, and check ins to give owners peace of mind while they are away.

As a volunteer at SPCA Windhoek, I support daily shelter operations including feeding, kennel cleaning, water refilling, basic enrichment activities, and assisting with animal handling under supervision. This experience has strengthened my ability to read animal body language, approach animals safely, and remain calm and patient in high stress or unfamiliar situations. It has also deepened my understanding of animal welfare standards and responsible care practices.

As a pet owner myself, I have practical, real life experience in maintaining long term pet health, routine veterinary visits, grooming schedules, and providing emotional and physical care daily.
