Duties will be to care for and have fun with our 3 children through the course of a week, Mon through Fri, and either Sat/Sun afternoons to make a 30 hour week. I work from home and am usually available when needed. However, summers I work full-time from the end of May through Labor Day.

Our children's care will include: Meal preparation, bathing & choosing outfits, engaging in fun & educational play, and homework help. They each have a spelling test and math homework every week, currently our nanny and I tag team on homework help. General up-keep and housekeeping and, clean-up after meals. Also help with laundry would be greatly appreciated and some assistant help including filing, some computer work and other tasks would be great. Taking them to the library, activities, etc...

We seek a dedicated, responsible, friendly, christian au pair who adapts easily, has good values and work ethic. Would prefer an aupair who is independent and takes initiative to participate in our family activities or ones own.

We do live in Alaska and subsequently have winter driving. An aupair or nanny with winter driving experience is a positive! All our vehicles for transporting our children or au pair are AWD or 4x4 properly maintained for the highest level of safety. Also on this Alaskan theme, common sense is a must as we do have Moose and Bear. Not to be feared but definitely to be respected :)

As a side note, teaching modesty and appropriate behavior to our daughters is an extremely high priority. Our current nanny and myself (mom) dress in a way to be modest and a good role model to our daughters. If dressing modestly is an issue please pass on our family. If you have questions on what we perceive as modest please do not hesitate to ask:) We also appreciate someone who is not constantly texting or on the cell during hours of responsibility and will restrain from having MTV or tv shows wilth violence turned on while the girls are present; and overall demonstrates a good example to our daughters.

We also would like to hire someone strong in their religious faith and will respect your religious beliefs.
