Hi Families,

I am a 38 year old Christian nanny. I have more than 10 years paid nanny experience; some live-in, some live-out. I have extensive experience in pretty much everything. In the live-in position I had in Vermont for 2 and a 1/2 years I like to joke that my job description was 'everything a mom would do besides give birth'. I loved that job. It was such fun.

I have worked with children ages newborn to 13. I have the most experience with kids newborn to 10. I love caring for kids of every age range. I am a good driver with a good record. I have plenty of experience driving in the snow if you are in a snowy part of the country.

I can be very flexible with my schedule. I worship on Sunday mornings and generally attend some church-related activity one to two nights a week. Those are really my only time constraints. I would be happy to take your little one/s with me on Sundays if you need care for them then, so even that would not present a problem as long as you did not mind them going to church with me. I would definitely need time off, but I have no problem being flexible about when that happens.

I don't mind traveling with a family. I have never traveled out of the country so I don't have a passport, but I wouldn't mind getting one if that was necessary. I don't mind living in any part of the country so if you transfer frequently for your job that would not be a problem either.

I like to get out and do fun things with kids. What exactly that entails depends on their age, but I have no interest in sitting home all the time. I'm not saying there needs to be a car trip every day, but it's nice to have a change of venue sometimes or get out and take a fun class with them or something.

I am open to finding a position of any length, though I would be happy to be with a family long-term.

I'm a pretty healthy person in general. I have some minor allergies that sometimes might require a dose or two of Benedryl in the spring or fall. They don't really give me much problem.

I'm happy to cook, shop and keep the house tidy. I like to organize and I'm pretty good at it. I am a pretty decent cook. I do mostly basic American stuff, but I try to keep it healthy and not too fatty and I love to try to new foods. I used to think I could handle spicy stuff until I went to a Thai restaurant once and odered medium heat. I coudn't even taste the food because my tongue was on fire. lol I'm a hot food wimp, but I guess there are worse things. :)

I have a pretty calm and friendly disposition and I'm fairly low-key. I am not sporty, but I'm a great cheerleader. I do like to swim and I would like to learn tennis. It looks fun. I would also like to start bike riding. I used to live on my bike as a kid, but I haven't really done any biking as an adult.

I'm a born-again Christian. By that I mean that I am saved by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone. I love the One who left Heaven to come to earth to take the punishment for my sin so I could be made right with God. He's my everything and I try to live my life for Him and to please Him each and every day.
