We are a family of 5 (3 children: 2yr old boy & twins of 5 months).
We have just moved to Bagno a Ripoli in Tuscany (just outside Florence) and looking to buy a permanent home as soon as possible.
We love the countryside and so we will be living in beautiful areas, in quiet places. But we need to be close to schoools and other conveniences. And within 1hr of an airport.
The position would be live-in. Drivers licence is essential.
Billingual -fluent Italian and English nannies please!
It is possible the nanny will have sole care of the children occasionally if I need to travel back to the UK.
The role for the nanny would be to help with children during the day until they go to sleep at 7pm. To do school runs in the car. To play with them imaginatively and in an educational way. To do some basic house work around the house. Occasionally to take our dog for a walk. To run errands to the shop from time to time. To accompany our family on trips abroad (mostly back to the UK).
We are relaxed, friendly and flexible and so it is more important to us that we find the right sort of person; bright, happy, imaginative, positive, with common sense, energy and a general enthusiasm to enjoy life!
We would like someone playful, happy to take the kids outside in all weathers’ and make the most of our rural setting.
Also someone pro active and self motivated. We don’t want to micromanage anyone and although we will be at home (husband works from home 3 days/week & Ill be at home initially whilst the twins are small before returning to work) we would like the nanny to plan her own days with the children with an emphasis on fun, imaginative and educational activities, with limited amounts of screen time!!
