The Opportunity:
Our private household in Fort Madison, Iowa, is seeking a reliable, trustworthy, and independent live-in caregiver. This direct-hire arrangement is structured specifically for individuals who want to completely eliminate their everyday living expenses while earning a steady, legally protected income. This role is highly suited for an international student on an authorized post-graduate program (OPT), a legal visa holder with an independent EAD card, or a relocating professional looking to maximize their financial savings by living entirely rent-free and expense-free in a safe, peaceful Midwestern home.
The Value & Compensation Package (What We Provide):
Guaranteed Hourly Pay: Full legal minimum wage guaranteed for a structured schedule of 40 caregiving hours per week, paid automatically via legal W-2 payroll with all protective state and federal taxes handled.
Performance Cash Bonuses: Regular, discretionary cash bonuses will be explicitly awarded to reward absolute honesty, diligence, and long-term reliability.
Full Board (All Food Included): All standard household groceries and daily meals are fully provided and covered by the household at zero cost to you.
Premium Private Housing: A dedicated private bedroom and personal living space within a secure, beautifully maintained residential home.
Zero Living Overhead: All household utilities, electricity, heating, high-speed wireless internet, and essential home amenities are 100% covered. Because your housing, bills, and food are paid for, your weekly earnings are 100% pure savings.
Core Responsibilities:
Provide attentive, safe, and engaging childcare during designated, pre-scheduled working blocks (40 hours per week).
Assist with standard daily child-centered routines, including simple, nutritious meal preparation for the child and keeping the care spaces tidy.
Basic Daily Tidying: Help maintain clean and organized care environments, assist with the child’s laundry, and ensure common household spaces are kept neat, respectful, and mutually comfortable.
Bring a mature, communicative, and honest presence to our shared residential environment.
Professional Structure & Boundaries:
We believe that a successful live-in relationship requires total clarity. You will be provided with a formal, written employment agreement on day one outlining your exact 40-hour weekly schedule. When you are off-the-clock, your time is strictly your own to rest, study, work on personal projects, or explore.
Candidate Requirements:
Work Authorization: Must possess valid, current independent legal authorization to work in the United States (such as a valid Employment Authorization Document [EAD card], Green Card, or approved independent domestic employment status). Note: We are a private household direct-hire and cannot sponsor new or first-time visas from overseas.
Previous childcare or caregiving experience with verifiable personal or professional references.
Clean background check clearance and a valid driver's license.
A high-integrity mindset focused on honesty, communication, and mutual respect.
