Family's Introduction to Nanny
Thank you so much for taking the time to get to know our family! We are excited about the opportunity to welcome someone into our home who will become more than just an au pair—we hope you'll become part of our family.
We are Nick, Ilian, and our sweet son, Noah, who is currently 7 months old. Since Noah is our first baby, we are learning and growing as parents every day. We do our best to make thoughtful decisions, learn from new experiences, and create the best possible environment for him to grow into a kind, confident, and happy person.
Nick works remotely from home, so he is available throughout the day if you ever have questions, need support, or simply want another set of hands. Nick only speaks English but he is learning Spanish since I (Ilian) was raised and first language is Spanish.about me I am a civil engineer and typically work in the office Monday through Friday from around 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Our biggest priority is giving Noah a childhood filled with love, security, respect, and strong values. We believe children learn most by watching the people around them, so we work hard to model the behavior we hope he'll grow up with. We believe in treating each other with kindness, speaking respectfully, listening carefully, and solving disagreements through open communication. We make an effort to maintain a calm, positive home, and we avoid using inappropriate language or speaking negatively about others, especially around Noah.
We love spending time together as a family. We enjoy traveling whenever we can, exploring new places, trying new restaurants, spending time outdoors, and making memories together. We hope our au pair will enjoy joining us on some family activities while also having plenty of opportunities to explore, make friends, and enjoy their own experience in the United States.
Because Noah is still a baby, your responsibilities will focus on his daily care and development. This includes feeding him, putting him down for naps, changing diapers, playing with him, reading books, taking walks, and helping him reach his developmental milestones through fun, age-appropriate activities. We are looking for someone who truly enjoys caring for infants and understands how important patience, consistency, and affection are during this stage of life.
Our extended families are very important to us, and they visit often. We enjoy spending time together, celebrating special occasions, and making family memories. At the same time, we also respect everyone's personal space and free time. We want our au pair to feel comfortable and never obligated to participate in family gatherings if they would rather relax or make other plans. We believe it's important to balance family life with personal independence.
Above all, we want our home to feel peaceful, welcoming, and supportive. We hope to build a relationship based on honesty, trust, respect, and open communication. We understand that moving to a new country is a big step, and we want you to know that we'll do everything we can to help you feel comfortable, appreciated, and truly at home with us.
If our family sounds like a good fit for you, we would love to get to know you and hear about your experiences, your interests, and what inspires you to become an au pair.
We look forward to meeting you!
Warmly,
Nick, Ilian & Noah
