Greetings of love and peace!

I hope this letter finds you well.
Firstly, I am elated to be writing this and sharing with you a glimpse of my life. Through this, you may be able to get to know me, my personality, and the experiences that have shaped me into the person I am today.
I am Ailyn Mae, 24 years old, from Magsaysay, Misamis Oriental, Philippines. I am a graduate of the Bachelor of Secondary Education with a major in Social Studies and the eldest of the family. I came from a simple and poor family, but my parents have worked hard to support my studies. They are always there to support all my endeavors and dreams in life.
At a point in my life, I wanted to become independent, meaning I wanted to live separately from my family and support myself financially because I didn’t want my aging parents to work anymore and suffer from an exhausting job that could barely support us all. That is why, I decided to be a working student under my college professor. During my time there, I did jobs to assist her inside and outside of the school. I wake up early in the morning to do the household chores, and then after that, I take care of his 12-year-old son and send him to school. My journey was not that easy; I never told my parents all the struggles I had at work and in school. Instead, I always reminded myself that I would reap what I sowed and that all my efforts and sacrifices would be fruitful in the future.
I am thankful to our Almighty God for not leaving me on my journey. Currently, I am a private school teacher at St. John Baptist High School, Inc., and the handling 38 students in one classroom. As a teacher, it is not easy to handle different types of learners and diverse culture. You have to dwell on their attitude, behavior, and likes in order to understand them and get closer to them. In addition, I have learned how to manage a classroom, how to be patient with my learners, how to make interesting lesson and activity, and how to adjust in a workplace with my colleagues.
To go abroad as is one of my bucket lists and dreams in life because I want to venture into another country with rich culture and opportunities where I can develop my skills in handling and managing a learner. Additionally, I also want to impart and utilize the teaching strategies that I know as a teacher to a foreign learner. It will be challenging for sure, but I believe in my capabilities and skills and that I will do better in this field.
I am hoping for the opportunity to talk with your family, as it will be a great privilege for me to answer your questions about my teaching experience, and I’m excited to share with you how I overcame my challenges in handling different learners from the Philippines.
