Dear Host Family,
 
I'm Jerryleezsa but you can call me Jiji. I'm 26 years old. I have completed my Bachelor's degree in Business Administration Major in Business Economics last March 2019, I obtained my Red Cross first aid training certificates way back in middle school. We are a family of eight. I have three siblings, two older brother, one is already married and the other one is working in California as a caregiver, and I have a younger sister which we have a 14-year gap. I have a good step dad, my mom is already retired from her work, and my dad passed away 8 years ago already. My hobbies are to paint, crochet, reading books, biking and I’m a museumgoer. Occasionally, I do some commissions by creating an invitation cards using my skills in calligraphy. I also like to explore the kitchen, which is to cook diff. cuisines as my pastime since my Mom is the one who regularly cooks. I’m really interested in what goes into crafting like to paint and calligraphy. My future plan, includes to be an international student in Europe.
 
I worked as a Nanny and live-in help for senior with housework for nearly two years, from July 2015 to March 2017. My host family are living in California, except for their widowed Mom (84 years old) who chose to stay here in Philippines. And a 3-year-old Boy which is my host dad’s son to his second family. My salary is in exchange of my Tuition fees way back in College. They pay my entire University fees and helped me go to school without worrying the payment until such time I get a scholarship offer. The services I did for childcare and live-in help for senior: Cooking simple meals, doing errands, do the laundry, sending the child to preschool, helping the senior to her daily medicine intake, household cleaning, I also help the child to his homework, and regular childcare works like bathing, getting dressed, putting him to bed and etc. It was challenging and life changing experience because I have to fit my schedule for school and take good care of them both. I learned to manage my time carefully, and learned to have a better understanding dealing to a child and an elderly. I gave my love and dedication to my work and I really appreciate them for loving me too.
 
I would love to become an Au Pair. I am prepared and I am well aware of the fact that being like a nanny, a big sister for children comes along with responsibilities and it will not always be just play and fun. Living with me is really easy as I am very appreciative, kind and a happy person, plus I love to cook. What is important to me to become an Au Pair in Europe is to gain or establish a good relationship to my host family, practice a new language, to be exposed to cultural practices and traditions, especially I frequently go to museums here in my home country. So Van Gogh Museum is one of my dream Museum to visit in Europe. Vincent Van Gogh is one of my favorite artist and an inspiration behind my interest in Arts. From its age-old museums to its world-class contemporary art galleries, Europe is a special destination for art lovers like me.
