Dear Future Host Family,

I am Dorejane, 28 years of age, a Filipino citizen who is currently living in the Philippines. I am a college graduate who had taken up Bachelor of Science – Major in Computer Technology, last March of 2016 and now, I am currently working as an Administrative Assistant II in a public institution.

During my spare time I enjoy travelling, hiking, exploring mountain areas and when I am at home, since we belong to a huge family, I invite my nieces and nephews over just to have a cooking session, since I love to cook such as pancake, pasta, soups and so much more because this is the time that we strengthen our creativity with food. I took care of them because I love them so much as if they are my own children and afterwards, we do household chores together, play cards, hide and seek, cuddling, running anywhere else in the house, and doing home assignments after taking a rest from a very active day and that would be the moment that I enjoy so much since I love being surrounded by children.

I have been volunteering also to a catholic institution wherein there is this group of children that I extend my tutorial with, just a quick review of the lesson they are taking at school for about 2 hours in a week. These children are between the ages of 6 to 11 years old and they are so adorable and fun to be with despite their personality differences. Their attitude molds and teaches me to be more patient, understanding, hardworking, be humble, be kind, and be compassionate to any kind of circumstances that I encounter in my daily life.

And with all the experiences I wrote here, I am excited to become your Au Pair, because I love to experience, extend my learning, to love and take care of kids outside my country and I have been so eager to learn and experience other culture. It has been also my greatest dream living in a country which experiences different seasons such as fall, spring, and winter. Also, I want to experience the food that your country has to offer and meet new friends in the other side of the globe. I am confident that this Au Pair program would provide me with new and interesting life experiences.

I’m hoping to find a kind family who will treat me with respect as a friend and a big sister at the same time. I hope we can establish a positive working and productive relationship as a family. I’d be delighted to share an exciting year with you and your children.
