Hello! My name is Marinthe and i am 18 years old. I live in the north-west of The Netherlands in a small city by the sea. I have an older sister, whose only a year older than me and an older brother. My biggest hobby is playing football, wich I have been playing since i was eight years old. I am very intersested in history in general and i really like baking cakes and cookies. I would describe myself as calm, honest, open-minded and responsible. I have neither piercings nor tattoos. Furthermore, I can ride the bike and swim very well.
I finished my exams for secondary school (pre-university education (VWO)) this year, but I don't know yet what university or follow-up education I want to attend. That is the reason why i chose a gap year. A gap year gives me some time to think about my study opportunities, but I also wanted to have a little adventure in the meantime.
I would like to spent some time abroad to experience a differtent culture. Being an au pair gives me the opportunity to experience the culture by taking care of children, wich i think will be very fun experience and a nice challenge for me.
i can help parents by taking care of their children and possibly with the household aswell when they are busy with work or other things. Moreover, I am also quite proficient in English so i can help with improving the english language level.
I am looking forward to such an experience abroad.
