Thank you for looking at my profile and considering me for your Nanny/Governess. I am currently available for part time or full time work in Padova, Venice or Florence, and am available for ROTA or temporary roles or holiday help in Europe or the UK.

I am a highly experienced nanny and governess with 18 years of private household experience and over 20 years of teaching experience. I am a native English speaker with UK, German (EU) and US passports, thus have the right to live and work in the UK and Europe and the US. I have been living and working in Italy (Florence and Padova, with some Ad Hoc work in Milan) since 2022, and can speak Italian at an intermediate fluency. I have worked as a nanny, governess/home-school teacher, tutor and children's group instructor.

I also have had a career as a professional dancer, certified yoga/Pilates instructor, nutrition counselor and wellness coach, but my favorite thing besides dancing has always been working with children. I have cared for children of all ages, from infancy through teens, and I prefer to have an educational element to my care-giving positions where I can utilize my creative teaching skills and background in education.

My diverse education in both the arts and sciences, enables me to help with all school subjects (science, math, English, dance, elementary music, etc.). I have taught several preschool-aged children to read and write, and brought them from not knowing their alphabet or how to count to levels in language and math advanced beyond their age groups with my own designed curriculum that includes state and nationwide standards, while catering to individual learning through a more inquisition-based and creative learning process. I am familiar and have taught from both US and British curriculums.

I as well have taught after-school science classes and worked as an after-school tutor, helping elementary and high school (liceo) students with all subjects (science, math, history, English, etc.), worked in after school enrichment programs, eventually helping design one for children, incorporating interactive creative activities in the arts and sciences, and even worked for a short time as a teacher for teachers, helping them teach science in more interactive and creative ways (combining my creative arts and sciences). With my science background I have also been certified in nutrition; if a family wishes for help in this way, I can make sure children eat healthy food (Or if they have preferred foods or traditions this is of course fine as well).

As for the Arts, I have been dancing since I was 2 years old, trained and danced professionally, and began teaching young children (and later all ages) dance when I was a teenager, and began babysitting at that age as well (later advancing as a nanny/governess). I have performed and traveled on stages and beautiful historical sites all over Europe. In addition to dance, I love fine art, music, culture, history and psychology. I have some formal classical music training and taught children during my time with them introductory piano and to read music. I additionally worked as a professional house-cleaner in college, so I also am experienced with keeping things tidy, clean and organized.

I am young at heart, have a lot of energy, and I love to help children find joy with each day and in life, and help them find their innate creative spirit and intellect. I study the work of Isadora Duncan and she used to teach children to work with "the highest intelligence and freest body" - this sentiment applied mostly to dance, but it is also something that can apply to life in general. I love to watch children learn and grow and find their personalities and help them develop their fullest potential while simultaneously having fun.
