Dear host family,

My name is Anika. I am a 20-year-old early childhood educator from Austria. I hold a degree in early childhood eduction (elementary pedagogy).

I've noticed early on in my life that I love working with children. Every day with them is different and their view of the world is very inspiring to me. During my work in various kindergartens I've always put a big emphasis on supporting the children's learning processes, being creative, being considerate and polite with other humans and simply creating fun memories together.
Due to my passion for other languages, I have experience in assisting children to learn English in a playful way. If this is of an interest for you, I will happily incorporate fun songs, games and other activities that allow your child to learn some English without even noticing it is learning. Besides English I can speak German and French and am planning to pick up some Italian in the future as well!

I would describe myself as a very polite and empathic person. For me, showing a child how to be a good person and being a rolemodel for them is my most important task. I would really like to create a warm connection with the children - it is important to be like an older sister to me.

I am flexibel with work hours and would be willing to work on some weekends. Cooking (including fish and meat) is something I really enjoy doing - I additionally have lots of experience in cooking healthy food.
