I am a single professional woman (attorney) who is a business owner and works primarily from home. At this time, I have 2 small dogs and no children . I am in the process of inheriting a vacation home - I currently live in New Orleans but I will be working on over the next year to renovate a house on Cape Cod. I also will likely be acquiring a historic home on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Born and raised in Manhattan, I currently am travelling there with some frequency for work - I'm in a lot of places! For many years, I have had part-time help in my home (live-out, 5 days a week, 4 hours/day) to assist with general housekeeping matters, but I really need to work now with someone full-time and someone who is able to do more than housekeeping and is able to be self-directed regarding responsibilities.
Looking for someone who maybe able to occasionally travel with me as needed and also stay and care for my dogs when I need to travel and cannot bring them. Active and able to work ideally 7 am to 5:30 pm Mon through Fri (with 2 hours of break). Willing to work overtime (compensated of course) outside of standard hours as needed a huge plus. Willingness to work holidays a big plus. Ideally 5+ years of experience in a full-time, private home setting. This is a year-round, full-time position, with ideally no outside employment.
As far as duties, my life is pretty hectic right now, so my starting point is clean sheets and dinner on the table. Someone to feed, walk, and play with my 2 small (20 pounds each) dogs - they are not mean but they have some quirky personality traits, so really needs to be someone who loves and understands dogs. I will separately be hiring vendors (for now) to help with heavy work around each house, and I'm looking for the person I hire to be point person on those relationships (scheduling, handyman to-do lists, etc.). No gardening duties, but again, ability to serve as point person with those hired.
I work long and hard hours, and doing it all is a myth, plus I am single. Soon I also will have multiple residences to manage. Neighbors and friends have really only be able to recommend once a week visitors for household help, and I need more. For now, I am looking for one person - I don't expect him/her to be able to do EVERYTHING, but I again am looking for someone who can take point on the additional people we may need to hire (for example, handyman, landscaping, etc.). Looking for long-term relationship with person who will be primary staff member (if they are interested and qualified) when other staff are hired/put in rotation. Looking for someone right now who is energetic and able to make sure these beautiful properties are at all times guest-ready. Outgoing and able to be point person with regard to maintenance of private residence. Able to take great care of all possessions, some of which are of great value. Can work in a home where I am not as needed. I need a Mini Me!

Some more traditional assistant duties in terms of keeping up with social and professional demands. Executive presence to assist me a big plus. Responsible for all things inside my homes. Again, able to be point person with people hired as needed for maintenance inside and for outside/garden work. I am a Master Gardener, so there will be some high-level work done there, but I'm not looking for this hire to have a degree in horticulture or anything like that - an ability to serve as a communication channel between me and the gardeners I hire will be helpful though. Able and willing to be a server at social events. Able to work with very prominent people. Looking for polished demeanor. Someone who is service-oriented and detail-oriented. Driven person who can help with office needs a big plus.
