Hello family! My name is DeSiyre. I am an American woman from North Carolina, currently living in San Juan, PR to immerse myself in the culture and to become fluent in Spanish. I am currently at the C1 level of Spanish so I can communicate at a proficient level. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Neuroscience from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

My work history includes working with elementary to teen aged children in multiple environments. Starting in 2016, while in college, I worked with 4 individuals aged 4-10 with autism at the Autism Society of North Carolina and here I learned CPR and First Aid, however my training has since expired. Additionally, while in college, I worked at a daycare for the church I attended with kids aged 7 on Sundays and 3 year olds some evenings. Following graduation, I regularly babysat for a family of 4 children through care.com for the summer before starting work at a high school in the fall. At the high school, I worked for 2 years as a college adviser serving youth ages 14-19. Most recently, I worked remotely as a College Coach supporting recent high school graduates with navigating young adulthood and their transitions to college. Some of my unpaid experiences include, babysitting my 10 nieces and nephews from newborn to age 8 years old. As a result of all of these experiences, I have a wealth of knowledge and experience of caring for kids of all ages. My favorite part of this is watching the children grow and being able to impact them positively, especially when it comes to education.
