Dear host family,
It’s my pleasure to introduce myself as - Anne 30years old from the Nyahururu a small town in Kenya, East Africa an area surrounded by many farmyards and beautiful nature. I live with my Mom and my three siblings and my nieces (Lilly 7 years & Harley 5 years). My mom (Mary 49) my elder sister (Lucy 28) and my twin sisters (Joyce & Carol 26yrs). I come from a humble family setting inclusive of two lovely dogs and many chickens. Overall, we are a pretty large family and have spent most of my years taking care of my siblings and nieces.
I have a strong passion for childcare, and value family. I would describe myself as friendly, kind, outgoing, honest, emphatic, reliable, trustworthy, fun and caring person who tries to make the best out of every situation. I believe children are a fountain of joy and while taking care of them has brought the best of myself. I am confident in my ability to make a valuable contribution to your family while ensuring well-being, safety, happiness and development of your children. I love children and enjoy spending quality time with them. I am interested in experiencing a new family life, an exchange of culture, learn a new culture & language different from mine. I would term my Au pair strength as a big sister with a big heart, who can really bond & blend well and be a good mentor in different aspects of life. On the other hand, I would describe my weaknesses of getting too fond of children emotionally easily without being able to letting go easily.
I have over two years of experience as a Nanny / Childcare in Riyadhi, Saudi Arabia. During my tenure there, I took care of a grandmother as caregiver and took care of three children of 3 years, 5 years & 8 years’ ages as a Nanny. At first, it was very difficult for me to jungle between the paralyzed grandmother and the children but after sometimes I became very close with the family and to date I cherish the time I spent with them. Most of the time I was left in the house alone with the grandmother and children when they were not in school while their parents were working. Through this time, I found out how much fun it is to have children around and feeling good helping the poor grandma. Previously I had 4 years’ experience as a Nanny in Nairobi, Kenya. Taking care of two toddlers and their pet dog. I did all house chores, shopping, cooking and sometimes was a gym escort for the mother.
I am searching for a host family, that would be happy to have me as part of the family, be kind, welcoming and are willing to learn new culture & language. I am looking for a long time stay with my host family, for one 1year or more depending on the connection formed within the family. Most importantly to enhance my passion for taking care of children. I hope to be a Montessori teacher in the future and with an Au pair experience easily improve my childcare skills. I would be very happy to experience an eventful year with you and your children. I hope we can develop a good relationship, working and living together as a family. I am looking forward to talking to you.
