Dear Family,

My name is Lynn, and I am very excited to introduce myself to you as a potential au pair for your family. I am currently 17 years old, and I will be 18 by the time I start my au pair year in late 2027, after completing my A-levels. I am really looking forward to this experience, especially in England, as I have a strong interest in the language and already feel confident speaking English fluently.

Working with children has always been something I genuinely enjoy and feel passionate about. I already have solid experience in childcare. For one year, I regularly looked after a toddler, which taught me a lot about responsibility, patience, and understanding a child’s needs at different stages of development. It was a very rewarding experience for me and confirmed how much I enjoy spending time with children and supporting them in their everyday lives.

In addition, I am actively involved in my community as an altar server leader. In this role, I help supervise and organize activities for younger children, guide groups, and make sure everyone feels included and safe. Since 2025, I have also been participating in a two-week children’s camp each summer, where I take care of more than 50 children together with other leaders. These experiences have taught me how to stay calm, organized and responsible even in busy and sometimes challenging situations. At the same time, they showed me how much fun it is to create activities, play games, and make sure the children are having a great time.

I would describe myself as a very active, open-minded and friendly person. I love being involved in activities and I always try to bring a positive and energetic atmosphere. I enjoy doing things with children, whether it is playing games, helping with homework, going outside, or just spending quality time together. I believe children feel comfortable with me because I am patient, caring and approachable.

Besides my experience in childcare, I also work in a retail clothing store. This job has helped me develop strong communication skills and taught me how to deal with different kinds of people in a professional and friendly way. I am used to taking responsibility, working in a team and staying reliable even during busy times.

In addition to my experience and my job in retail, family and friends play a very important role in my life. I live together with my mother, my father, and my younger brother and we spend a lot of time together. We often do activities as a family, whether it is going out, spending time at home, or simply enjoying everyday moments together. I also really enjoy meeting my friends and staying active socially. I am someone who likes to be around people and who values strong relationships. Spending time with others, laughing together, and creating good memories is something that makes me very happy. I believe these experiences have helped me become a warm, open and caring person, which is also reflected in the way I interact with children.

My friends and family would describe me as very reliable, punctual and responsible. When I take on tasks, I make sure to complete them properly and with care. I am also someone who adapts well to new environments and enjoys learning new things, which is why I am so excited about the opportunity to live abroad and become part of a family in England.

Becoming an au pair is something I truly look forward to, as it combines my interest in working with children and my interest in cultural exchange and personal growth. I am very motivated to support your family in everyday life, to be a positive role model for your children, and to create a safe, fun, and caring environment for them.
