This will be my first time as an au pair sort of situation, but won’t be my first time as a caregiver for elderly or young children. I was working in a group home for persons with disabilities who are also elderly so I ensured that meals were prepared, medication was given on time, I had to make sure they were on the schedule with activities that they had to do throughout the day, and usually nurses would come in to give them their baths and showers, but I would make sure they are attended to on their routine days.

My reason for becoming an au pair/babysitter and/or caregiver for elderly abroad is because this does appear to be familiar experience that I have had here in Canada and would like to attend the same experience anywhere else I go. Overall, I do know that people have their schedules and times to want to do things, and I understand that some people don’t get that time to themselves, so I find that I could help alleviate stresses like this for whoever would take me as their caregiver/au pair!
