Hello!

We’re a warm, blended family of four (soon to be five!) in the Pacific Northwest, looking for a kind, playful, and dependable Spanish-speaking au pair or live-in nanny to become our kids’ honorary big sister or cool auntie.

You’ll primarily care for our 15-month-old son during weekday mornings and support with light household tasks and occasional help with our 7-year-old daughter.

We hope to welcome someone who loves kids, is open to helping with light housework (about 15 hrs/week), and wants to be a part of a real family — not just an employee.


About Us:
• Dad is a full-time university student studying to become a middle school teacher and works nights
• Mom is a stay-at-home parent with chronic illness, currently on bedrest and expecting baby #3 (a girl!) in late October
• Mom is a dual UK/US citizen and former au pair and nanny with 15+ years of experience, so we understand both sides and want this to be a mutually respectful, positive experience
• We only speak English, but want our children to be immersed in Spanish — bonus if you enjoy helping with early language learning or ESL-style support! Also open to helping improve your English skills through classes and tutoring!
• We have a sweet, large dog, so you must be comfortable around pets
• We live in a quiet, friendly neighborhood with parks, playgrounds, and nature nearby


Your Role:

Total: ~40 hours/week (25 hrs childcare + 15 hrs light housework)

Childcare (mostly mornings, 5 days/wk):
• Engaging care for our 15-month-old son: playtime, feeding, walks, outings
• Light school pick-up or activity runs for our 7-year-old (must be a confident driver with a clean record)
• Newborn care not expected — mom will handle baby directly

Household Help:
• Tidying play spaces
• Folding laundry
• Light meal prep or emptying dishwasher
• Helping keep the household running smoothly while mom rests



Who We’re Looking For:
• Spanish-speaking (fluent), with at least basic English understanding
• Already has legal ability to work in the U.S. (citizen, green card, student visa, dependent visa w/ EAD, etc.)
• Kind, reliable, gentle, fun, and emotionally intelligent
• Comfortable working in a team dynamic with mom home
• Confident driver with valid license
• Enjoys dogs and a playful, sometimes chaotic household
