Dear Candidate, This is an ideal job for someone who enjoys working with individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities. You will be taught to communicate with a 19 year old male with autism using a spelling to communicate letterboard system. Your daily routine will be to drive your client into the community, to assist in helping your client navigate the community, to teach basic lessons throughout the day that are provided to you. You are given a team of support through licensed supervisors and support team members to ensure your success. A car is provided to drive the client. CPR and other licenses are also provided as needed.

We seek a special person who wants to work with our minimally verbal 19 year old son throughout the day on a farm setting in the island of Maui. Chosen candidate will be shown how to communicate with him using a spell to communicate letterboard system. successful candidate must possess a drivers license to drive him to the store, post office and other community locations. Ideal candidate will have some experience workin in the field of autism and have much patience. Our son is non violent but has many OCD behaviors. We are seeking a good energy person for him to bond with and hang out with as a friend and to assist him throughout the day with his basic needs.
