Dear Host Family,

My name is Chiedza, I’m 20 years old, and I’m from Zimbabwe. Thank you so much for taking the time to read my profile, it really means a lot to me.

Working with children is something that has naturally become a big part of who I am. I recently completed my teaching diploma with the London College of Teachers and Trainers, and I currently work as a teaching assistant at a primary school. My days are full but very rewarding, from helping younger children with reading in the mornings, to teaching lessons and supporting different classes throughout the day.

These experiences have taught me so much about patience, understanding, and how important it is for children to feel safe, supported, and truly seen. I especially enjoy helping children grow in confidence, whether it’s through learning something new or simply feeling proud of themselves.

I would describe myself as calm, gentle, and reliable. I bring a peaceful kind of energy into a space, but I also love creating little moments of joy with children, reading stories together, helping with homework, or just spending time talking and laughing. I value connection, and I always try to build trust, so children feel comfortable and happy around me.

What makes me special is that I genuinely care. I don’t just “look after” children, I pay attention to them, I listen, and I try to understand their personalities and needs. I also understand how important routines are for a family, and I am very respectful, adaptable, and willing to fit into your home in a way that supports you.

Alongside childcare, I am happy to help with light household tasks related to the children and to be an extra set of hands wherever needed. I naturally like to keep things tidy and organized.

In terms of personal details, I do not have any tattoos, and I present myself neatly and respectfully at all times.

I am really hoping to find a kind and welcoming family where I can feel at home, while also being someone you can trust and rely on. Being an au pair means more to me than just a job, it’s about building a genuine connection and becoming a positive presence in your children’s lives.
