I'm Nono, a 23year old girl from Bulawayo a beautiful and vibrant small city in Zimbabwe that has shaped me into the cheerful, outgoing person I am today.
I want to become an au pair because I truly enjoy spending time with children and have experience in childcare as I have volunteered at a daycare centre for 7months where I got my childcare experience. During period I dealt with children from diverse backgrounds and different ages ranging from 2yrs to 5yrs.
I learnt how to engage with children, plan educational and fun activities and I also got to learn abou their routine.
My family friend also had a baby boy who was 4months at the time and I would take care of the baby as the mother left for work for about 2months and during weekends I usually volunteer in assisting with with young children at church.
I am a lively and adventurous individual who loves going out, exploring new places and learning about different cultures. Being around children brings me joy and I believe that through this program I can both care for them and also share in their curiosity and excitement about life.
In my free time, I love reading, exercising, cooking and enjoy art. I believe these interests not only make me balanced and fun but also help me create engaging, creative and active experiences for children.
I want to be an au pair because it perfectly combines my passion for childcare with my desire for cultural exchange and personal growth.
Choosing the au pair program allows me to take these skills a step further. It is an opportunity to step out of my comfort zone and become more self-reliant by navigating a new environment independently.
