Introduction
Hello. My name is Novy. I am 27 years old turning 28 in November. I am a graduate of Secondary Education majoring in English. I'm from the Philippines but I'm currently living in Vietnam because of my work. I've been working as an EFL teacher for 4 years.
I want to build strong ties with families, which is one of my main motives for wanting to work as an au pair.
As an au pair, I want to hone my cross-cultural competence and communication skills. This will give me invaluable experience that will advance my profession. Additionally, I want to enhance my language abilities while au pair overseas with the best tutor available—my host child(ren) and host family.
I think two of my strongest traits and the reasons a host family should choose me are my capacity to relate to kids and my inherent patience. I believe that my interactions with kids show that I truly care about them and enjoy spending time with them. Even when things don't go according to plan, I have a lot of patience and can maintain my composure under pressure. These attributes, in my opinion, would make me a fantastic au pair and a wonderful addition to a host family.
