Hello! My name is Marissa, I have lived in England for most of my life and have been studying to complete my A-levels for the past 2 years. Throughout this time, I have decided to do some travelling before I start university in late September 2023. My love for travelling gave me the idea to download this app! Towards the end of June 2023, I’d love to travel to your country as long as accommodation is provided, there i can explore a new culture and help you in whatever you may need.
I’ve spent most of my life providing child care to a family friend and have experience at a children’s club. This makes me extremely prepared and experienced in terms of childcare. Not only am I experienced but I’m also hoping to be a teacher meaning, I’m prepared to offer tutoring sessions as well as learning through play! I offer a caring and loving approach to children so that they feel as loved and cared for as possible. However, I am also strong in discipline and boundaries so whilst your children and I can laugh and play, safety is a priority so any actions that put anyone’s safety in danger won’t be tolerated and will be disciplined. In terms of discipline, I’ll admit that I am quite soft- my main forms being sitting on the naughty step or left out of activities/play. Yet, as most of the time I am kind and loving, the children usually know when they have done wrong as if I am angry or upset (a rare occasion) they learn their action was ultimately wrong and take steps to apologise. My efforts with your children to turn them into empathetic and caring adults, will hopefully be reflected and seen in how they behave with you over time! Previously, I was a babysitter almost daily for a family friends daughter and found that she soon learnt the behaviour I expected from her and is now a wonderful young lady! Also when working at a kids club, I faced the challenge of handling many children at once in which it was important everyone’s needs were attended to and cared for.
