My name is Theophilus N. Moyo
I am super excited to introduce myself as a 2nd Year Media, Communications and English tertiary student-2026 who is deeply passionate about caring for children. I remain committed to my academic journey, but I feel the need to grow beyond the classroom doors-building skills in communication, cultural awareness and childcare that will make me an adaptable and a well-rounded individual in the 4th Industrial Revolution.
Through my two years of babysitting my two nieces, I learned how to balance fun and safety, creating engaging activities, and supporting children’s emotional and educational growth. I am very proficient in English and I love storytelling, arts and crafts, and inventing games that make learning enjoyable. I want to create a light space where children can fully express themselves. In this ever-evolving word, children need to be exposed to the latest technology to keep up with the ever-evolving world. This is of course up to the parents. I want to work alongside the children's parents to ensure that the young ones use the media in a responsible manner from a young age. This is a key step towards safeguarding their mental health and development.
I am patient, empathetic, and attentive — qualities that I believe are the foundation of good childcare. I want to become the children's shoulder to cry on, a person they can trust. Children need someone who will give them full attention and only then will they reach their full potential. While I don't hold a formal certificate in this field, I bring a profound depth of empathy, consistency, and the genuine willingness to be guided and to adapt to each child's unique personality. I can offer lessons in advanced English, Sciences and basic Mathematics.
I am excited about the opportunity to join a host family, whether in Australia, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Netherlands, Sweden, Switzerland, the UK and the USA. I look forward to supporting your children’s daily routines, helping with light household tasks, and sharing my unique cultural experiences in South Africa. My background as a young health care consultant means that I am very conscious of health, nutrition, and safety, which I believe makes me a standout in childcare. I am also a digital creator that interacts with individuals from different cultural backgrounds, and through that, I have developed the ability to change my choice of words to suit the person I am in conversation with.
