Dear family,

My name is Imogen, I have a deep love for travel and languages.
I live with my mother, father and sister. I spent most of my childhood with her playing Legos and climbing mountains.

I love reading, swimming, camping, baking, gyming and history. My life goal is to travel and talk to new people in their own language. I love working with kids and seeing how they see the world. I’m open-minded and adventurous.

I believe that everyone deserves to be loved and treated with kindness. I am compassionate and try to be understanding. I strive to be disciplined while pursuing what you love. I am open-minded and caring.

I recently completed high school in the IEB program. I took English, Afrikaans, mathematics, life orientation, history, physical sciences, French as an additional second language as well as the two additional subjects, geography and additional studies in English for which I received a distinction. I received 6 distinctions in total, finished my French DELF B1 and participated in the English Olympiad by receiving a silver medal. I would like to study languages, linguistics and translations, or international relations. I got full colour for academics, and an award for the best in my degree for social sciences (geography and history).

I was on the 1st squash team for 5 years and was a captain in my senior year. I swam for school in the first team for 5 years and received half colours for my last 3 years in the first team. I am currently completing my TEFL (teaching English as a foreign language).

I hope that becoming an Au Pair will give me the opportunity to travel and create lasting memories. I want to be able to talk to people around the world, try new foods and see new places. I love talking with children and I would like to teach languages one day. I believe that becoming an au pair will give me an idea of what it will be and will help me in my own language learning journey. I hope to be accepted as one of their family and make lasting memories.
