Thank you for your consideration! I'm Stacey, a 26 year old Christian female currently residing in Cape Town, South Africa. I have a BSocSci in Politics and Sociology (2012), as well as a BA (Hons) in Sociology (2014). I've completed online childcare courses, as well as in-class training at an Au Pair Training School in New York, USA (2015-2016). This includes First Aid (CPR/AED) training with Red Cross USA.
I have spent the last 16 months living and working as a full time, live-in au pair to an amazing family in Nashville, Tennessee and Boston, MA. I have over 12 years of childcare experience; a valid passport, clear criminal background, excellent health, successfully completed living and working abroad for an extended period of time which shows that I adapt easily to changing conditions, I have a valid drivers' license in South Africa, and Tennessee USA for both manual and automatic transmission. I also have experience driving in icy and snowy conditions.
I am an organized; highly-efficient, reliable, trustworthy, independent, compassionate, hardworking, mature and responsible person. I am open-minded and sensitive to diverse cultures and traditions, I am always willing to learn and grow. I'm energetic; enthusiastic, optimistic and a holistically well-balanced individual. I have a passion for caring for children, and I'm infant qualified with experience caring for twins. Children respond well to me, and I tend to observe their unique personalities in order to tailor my teaching methods so that their learning potential and results are continuously of a high/ optimal level.
I have multiple referees that will highlight my personality; my zeal and driven nature, as well as my love for caring for little ones. I am creative so I tend to plan many arts and crafts activities; reading and library trips as well as writing stories featuring the kiddies I'm caring for. Trips to the Zoo, Museums, Adventure Science Centre are all fun ways for kids to learn and explore about the world around them. I also enjoy spending time outdoors including hiking; swimming, camping, walks to the park, picnics, play dates and many more. The health, safety and happiness of the children I care for are always of paramount importance to me, I always fiercely protect the little ones in my care!
