Dear host family,
First of all I would like to thank you that you take the time to read my letter. With this letter I would like to bring you closer to my life.
My name is April Rose, I’m 23 years old and I’m from Philippines. I’m living with my parents, I have 5 siblings and I'm the youngest. I finished my college last July 2022. I worked as an ESL Teacher in Global School.
I want to become an Au Pair & Live-in Tutor because to go abroad as an Au-Pair has been a wish of mine for several years now. Moreover, the year as an Au-Pair abroad also is some kind of a journey to find myself. Finally responsible for myself, in fact independent from the people, who mean a lot to me but who are in a way also restricting me, I want to discover the needs I have and who I really am.
I’m persuaded of being able to be a good Au-Pair, because I’ve always been loving children and I had the chance to gain experiences with children in lots of different scopes. Now I would like to tell you something about my experiences with children.
In July 2022 two days after my graduation I become an ESL Teacher. I teach the kids and even their parents between the age of 10 to 42 at the school. I enjoyed these months and it was a helpful experience for me to care for so many kids at the same time. Furthermore I did a babysitting for my sister and brother with their kids. It was often at the day, so most of the time we played together and also watch a movie and most importantly is I made food for them.
In conclusion, I would like to thank you for taking your time to get to know me better. I am looking forward to being an Au Pair and also a family member in your family and to spend a great and unforgettable year.
