Dear Future Host Family,

Hello! How are you? I hope everything is going well.

I am a Filipina looking for my first family match. I've always wanted to be an au pair and am hoping to be one soon. This year marks my 24th birthday, and I am single with no children. I have a Bachelor of Secondary Education degree in General Science. I've worked as a Private Tutor and an Online English Teacher. I am fluent in English and am at ease in the company of foreign nationals.

Despite my lack of formal childcare experience, I am passionate about working with children. My background in childcare, I'd say, began in our household. Growing up, since both my parents were busy at work, they would leave me a task pin on the refrigerator door. Number 1 on the list is to look out for and take care of my siblings which I believe a big responsibility among all. In addition, I have babysat two of my neighbors' daughters, both of whom are single parents who have to work hard to make ends meet in the little town where we resided. I've been with these two baby girls since they were born. Time flies so fast; they are now 8 and 4 years old, respectively. Furthermore, as previously mentioned, I am a Private Tutor, where I am exposed to and have experience dealing with various personalities or behaviors of the children.

I am blessed to have a loving and hardworking family of six. I was trained to be an independent and responsible daughter at an early age by taking care of my siblings at home, going to school, and doing household chores because we don't have a nanny. Nevertheless, I must say, I am proud of what my parents instilled in me because I learned a lot while also learning something that I can apply to my future. So, household chores are something I can brag about, but seriously, I am eager to help you organize your home to make it tidy and clean or anything where I can lend a hand, even in my own little ways. I am also being raised to be a respectful, polite, and God-fearing person.

Right now, in my life, a realization has struck me that there's something more to life out there waiting for me to step up and explore and discover it, learning more about life from another perspective. I want to have some great memories to look back on when I'm older so that I can say I'm pleased, content, and happy with the choices I made.

So, my dear host family, while you read this letter, I want you to know that I am highly interested in becoming an au pair for your family. For the most part, the program between host families and the au pairs in the cultural exchange system. I believe I am capable of being a good au pair for your family because I am responsible and trustworthy in the tasks given to me, independent, patient, open, respectful, and family-oriented.
