Hi, Im Grace from Philippines looking for my host family. I have a a Bachelors Degree and took
up 18 units for Teaching Profession. I recently completed a Caregiving Program duly accredited by the Philippines Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) to which I was able to earn a Caregiving National Certificate II (NC II) as proof of competency in the various fields of caregiving – infant/toddler, child, elderly, and people with special needs.
I have learned a lot and put into heart the practical knowledge and skills I gained during an intensive On-the-Job Training (OJT). I have learned how to deal with and take care of patients of different ages, personalities, and needs, and cope with emergency situations by providing basic medical care and attention. I was able to grasp and fully appreciate the importance of creating a safe and nurturing environment for patients and engaging them in daily activities that will help them grow and develop their personalities. The experience enhanced my virtues of patience, empathy, and the ability to handle challenging situations. I am confident that I have the necessary basic skill set and attitude toward practicing the profession. Nonetheless, I understand that there is still more to learn, and I am very eager and willing to be mentored.
