Dear Host Family,
I am Aljae, a 25 years old Licensed Professional Teacher here in The Philippines. Teaching and taking care of children is what I am passionate about thats why I took up Bachelor of Secondary Education. I am currently living with my grandmother, my father, my sisters' husband together with my two nephews (10 years old and 2 years old), my 3 years old niece and two dogs in the Philippines. My mom works in Singapore as a Domestic Helper, however, my brother lives in Australia and my sister is currently in Qatar working as a Nurse. Overall, we are a pretty large family.
Working for about 2 years as an Instructional Manager for the Alternative Learning System, a flexible learning option in the Philippines. I have interacted with a lot of children and adults who have decided to drop their education for personal reasons, and most of them did so because they were unaware of how valuable education. Working as an Au Pair, I can prevent this by imparting children with the adequate care and education that would hopefully let them appreciate more the value of education in their lives as an Au pair. I also have experienced in tutoring children from Primary to High School. I teach them basic knowledge, like counting, reading, writing and Science and Biology subjects since I am a Teacher major in Biological Sciences.
Eversince my sister gave birth to her eldest up to her youngest child, I was there, I have seen how a child grows and how to properly took care of them, and I came to realize that the early years of a child's life can have an incredible impact on their future. They're not only learning colors, words, shapes, and numbers. They're learning how to interact with others, explore the world, and understand and express their own emotions. This means I’ll be able to interact well with your children and form a strong bond/look after them well.
Since my sister is in Qatar, I helped her husband in taking care of their children. I consider their children as my own because they are like a fountain of joy for me. I can never get enough of their lovely innocent personalities and truthfulness. I usually cooked for them, prepare their lunchbox, bathe them, take and fetch them at school, do their laundry, iron their clothes, change their diapers, helped them with their homework and play with them.
In terms of my hobbies, I like to cook Filipino foods especially Adobo, Lumpia and more. I also love to do gardening and playing badminton. Additionally, I love to sing and dance. I love going to the beach and take a walk at parks (nature lover). I am trustworthy, patient, organized, dedicated, respectful, open-minded, responsible, kind, sweet and jolly person.
If I will be given a chance to be your aupair, rest assured that I will give my 100% love with your children because that is what I am passionate for, and we’ll make great bonding moments together. I know that we have different cultures and personalities but don’t worry, I will make sure that I’ll embrace whatever differences we have. I want to be a part of your family as much as I want you to be a a part of my journey towards life in the future.
