Hello! How are you? My name is Khean and I am currently 24 years old. I was raised by a strong single mother after my father passed away. Even though our mother was the only one who can financially support me and my two older brothers, she still managed to finish our studies. Our parents raised us to be responsible children inside our house such us doing household chores and be organized without giving orders so that we will learn on how to take initiative.
I can describe myself as introverted yet goofy person once people get to me know me very well. One thing I know for myself is that I'm very loyal and caring to my friends and family and I would do anything for them. I enjoy having quality time with myself, my family and close friends. During my free time, I love reading books and watching anime. It became part of myself. Reading and watching entertainment shows is not just about enjoying it but also learning something from them. I don't call myself as an artist but I do appreciate art such as interior design, photography, landscape and old architecture. I remember during the time when we had an internship at a school in UAE, I loved to take pictures of their buildings/structures because I was so mesmerized by how aesthetically pleasing and well-built, they were. I also love the idea of thrifting vintage/antique clothes, furniture, household items and décor. There is just something special about vintage and antique stuff like learning where and when it came from and the history and story behind it.
I want to become an Au Pair to help the needs of the parents with their children since I know it's not easy to balance being a parent while working. I do have an experience of taking care of a child since when I was young, I used to babysit our tenant’s/boarder's child to take care and play with their child. And as my brother started their family, they let me take care of my two nieces and one nephew. I used to babysit and tutor them when they have an errand every weekend. Also, during college, I have experienced of teaching high school students as part of training to become a future educator. I also have a health care certificate when I passed NCII.
I am genuinely interested in becoming an au pair because I want to travel abroad and to meet new people despite the cultural differences. It can help me understand people more, learn about life, new things and discover my potential. I believe that I can learn it also from my future host family and they can also learn something from me.
I am looking forward to a warm, understanding and friendly family. I believe that I am capable of being an au pair because we Filipinos are family-oriented. I am also open-minded and I take criticism well and learn from my mistakes. I am very respectful and kind to any race and gender and most of all caring about the people who are part of life. It will be a pleasure of mine to share our culture and together we can learn from each other. I am looking forward to being part of your family.
