Dear Future Host Family, My name is Hazelee, 22 years old turning 23 this november 5 from the Philippines and a Senior Highschool graduate. I have two siblings. I was raised by my parents to become responsible, kind and independent person and grateful to grew up being one.I don't have any experience yet, but I've been babysitting my neice,cousins and my siblings since highschool. And The reasons why i want to be an au pair because i also want to experience the culture of other countries, it will help me in becoming the better me because it will really test how strong i am as a person because i will be away from my loved ones.Explore more places during time off and meeting new sets of friends. I will be able to learn the more complex in and out's of life and how to handle it . I believe being an au pair will help me being an independent and responsible person. Taking good care of my host family gives me more responsibility. Lending a hand counts even in my own little ways.Throughout this experience i know i can learn a lot from the family and really looking forward to have a harmonious relationship with them. Learning more about life in another perspective which is beyond my comfort zone. And these memories will be treasured forever.
I would describe my strength as an Aupair as the ability to bond really well with kids and also blending in very easily and as a result being able to be their mentor in different aspects of life and also be like their big sister, also the ability to learn from my mistakes. On the other hand, I would describe my weakness as an Aupair is that I have a hard time letting go of something or someone because I get too attached to children especially and hence becomes emotionally hard to detach from them I am searching for a host family, that would be happy to have me as part of the family, be kind, welcoming and who are willing to learn new culture and language.
