Dear Host Family,

Warm greetings! My name is Julina, a 24-year-old licensed professional teacher from the vibrant and family-oriented city of Davao, Philippines. With deep roots in a large, loving family as the 6th of nine siblings, I’ve grown up surrounded by children and responsibilities that shaped me into a caring, dependable, and nurturing individual.

I bring with me the heart of a teacher and the warmth of a big sister. My professional background in education has helped me develop patience, creativity, and adaptability—qualities I believe are essential in caring for children. I enjoy creating engaging learning experiences, encouraging kids to express themselves, and making sure they feel seen, heard, and loved. Whether it’s storytelling, arts and crafts, outdoor play, or helping with homework, I find joy in moments that help children grow not just academically, but emotionally and socially.

Outside the classroom, I’m easy to live with—respectful of space, routines, and cultural differences. I usually sleep around 10 PM and wake up early. I enjoy quiet moments reading, journaling, helping around the house, and spending time with children. I prefer simple, home-cooked meals, and while I’m not a picky eater, I avoid seafood and pork and prefer vegetables and lighter dishes.

My values are deeply rooted in love for family, faith, respect, and service. I treat every child in my care as if they were my own younger sibling or relative—showering them with kindness, consistency, and care. I’m also the type of person who sees beauty in life’s simple moments, and I truly believe in making a positive difference wherever I go.

Being an Au Pair is more than just a job for me—it’s a chance to become part of another family, learn from a new culture, and share the love and life lessons I’ve gathered as both a teacher and a daughter of a strong Filipino family.
