Introduction
My name is Roselyn, I am 23 years old, and I am from the Philippines. I am an undergraduate student who took up a Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management. I chose this course because I enjoy serving and helping people, especially in the hospitality industry. However, due to financial difficulties, I had to stop my studies and focus on supporting my family.
When my mother passed away in 2014, I was only 12 years old, and my younger sister was just 3 years old. It was a very challenging time for us. After that, we lived with my aunt, and I helped take care of my cousin’s children. This experience played a big role in shaping who I am today.
Taking care of children became something very special to me. I truly enjoy spending time with them because they are sweet, funny, and full of energy. When I am with children, I feel happy, comfortable, and appreciated. I treat them with love and care, as if they were my own family.
My responsibilities included feeding them, bathing them, changing diapers, putting them to sleep, and making sure they are always safe. While they were resting, I would also help with household chores such as washing dishes, cleaning their play area, organizing their things, and helping with laundry. I also enjoy playing with children, teaching them good manners, and helping them with their school assignments when needed.
Through these experiences, I became more patient, responsible, and organized. I learned how to handle different situations calmly and how to take initiative when needed. I am confident that I can take good care of your children, ensure their safety, and support their daily routines.
I want to become an au pair because I genuinely love caring for children, and I would also like to experience a new culture, meet new people, and grow.
