Dear Future Host Family,
I hope you’re having a good day today. My name is Princess, 23 years old, and I have a bachelor’s degree in Education. I am here in greataupair.com in hopes to find my future host family. I can start from April to July 2024. I honestly do not have valid passport at the moment, but I can have it upon your request. Please allow me to introduce myself more.
Things I’ve experienced/things I CAN do:
• Experience child care or babysitting (ages 1-12 years old). I have a lot of experiences in taking care of a child or babysitting as I grew being an older sister. In our country, one of the responsibilities of an older sister is to look after the younger siblings. In my case, I have a younger sister whom I look after when she was young. I used to be her chaperone at home or in school. I also used to assist her in every competition at school that she joined. I also have nieces, nephews, and even neighbors whom I used to look after when they were younger. Now that they’ve grown up, I miss that feeling of having children to look after to, that is why I wanted to explore other country and experience being an au pair to extend my passion in showing my love and care for children.
• Preparing, sending, and fetching children to/from school
• Can cook snacks for children or light meal for the whole family
• Can ride a bike or motorcycle
• Can do light household chores (tidying up the house, light laundry, grocery shopping). I can do household chores because I am used to doing it at home because my mother is a teacher and she doesn’t have enough time to clean the house, so I do it on her part.
• Can tutor kids (teach basic English and do home works). Here in the Philippines, I am a licensed teacher, and I had experiences teaching kids and teens in the actual classroom. I was also an online tutor where I was able to teach Japanese online.
• Can take care of pets, if there are any
• Can respect privacy and strictly follow the host family’s rules
• Hygienic and NO allergies
• NO special diet
• Loves adventures (playing with kids, hiking, camping, traveling)
• Open to corrections and suggestions
• Always willing to learn. I know that we don’t share a common culture or way of living, but I am a flexible person who’s always ready learn. If there are things you want me to do that I actually do not know how, please teach me and I would immediately catch up.
• One more thing about me is that I’m only 4’11. Small but terrible as they say.
Things I CANNOT do:
• No previous au pair experience
• Cannot Drive a car (but willing to practice if needed)
• Cannot Swim
• No driver’s license
• No first aid training (but willing to undergo)
• No experience with children with special needs
• Cannot cook numerous heavy meals
