Hello future host family! I hope this introduction finds you in high spirits, allow me to introduce myself...

My name is Adila, I'm 17 (18 in April) and come from a diverse and multicultural background. Being raised in Brazil, then moving to Ireland at a young age, has allowed me to develop a deep appreciation for diverse cultures, and opened up a passion within me for travel and exploration.

Being raised in a big family (oldest of four, ages 4, 8 & 11) has also led me to appreciate and love taking care of and nurturing young minds. I've developed a deep understanding of compassion and the importance of being a responsible and caring role model, especially for children, and how childhood shapes a person into adulthood.
This responsibility has also given me the opportunity to develop patience, organisational, and interpersonal skills, which I find are essential.

Academically, I am currently in preperation for my Leaving Certificate, hence why I will only be available to initiate being an Au Pair from August 2024. I hold education to a high regard and stand by its transmuting abilities.

I have a deep love for music. One of which my father ignited in my own childhood. Because of his initiative, I developed a profound passion for music and literature. Specifically, singing and poetry. I joined a choir group when I was four, and have been in love with it since. As for poetry, I began writing at thirteen and it's been my dream since then to publish my own poetry book. Education wise, I love Arts, be it history, philosophy, law, music, pschycology. And my current objective after being an Au Pair is to achieve a masters degree in Law, broadening my horizons and becoming an aide to those around me. I have always been eager towards new experiences, to reach summits that seem just out of reach. And becoming an Au Pair would be a stepping stone to unlocking and achieving heights that I honestly once would have hesitated to even think of. I truly believe the only person ever standing in our way is ourselves.

I'm truly excited about the prospect of becoming an Au Pair. It's something I've taken an interest in not just to 'take care of kids', but to help them foster a love for learning and living.

Helping them reach their upmost potential.

Allowing them to have a fresh insight on the world and, to most importantly, have an overall positive impact on their lives, as the author Jess Lair once said,

"Children are not things to be molded, but are people to be unfolded."
