Hi future host family,

Thank you for taking your time to read my letter.

I would like to introduce myself to you but I am sorry if my introduction letter is quite long.

My name is Suci, I am a 28 years old girl from Indonesia and currently live in Jakarta. I come from a small city in beautiful island in Sumatera, Indonesia. I speak fluent Indonesia and intermediate english. I would describe myself as a flexible person. I love going out and being crazy with my friends but I can also enjoy everything by myself. In my free time, of course I would be happy if my friends ask me to go out, but if they don’t I will just go for shopping or café hopping. Or I will just stay at home, cleaning my room, cooking, doing chores, listening to music, and singing-not professionally.

My mom, me, and my sister is now living far away from each other, but that’s how I found out that travelling is something that I actually enjoy the most. I always get excited when I am thinking about travelling. I love being in nature, but it is also fun to be in a big city, learning new language, exchange different cultures with new people. and making memories. All the process of buying the ticket, looking for the place to stay, making itinerary, budgeting, and packing are really thrilling and exciting. The only thing tat I hate about travelling is leaving the places I visit and not knowing if I can go there again sometimes in the future.

The reason why I want to be an Au Pair is because I love kids and enjoy spending time with them. I also love how Au Pair can be a perfect way for me to take care of kids while exploring the world. Eventhough as of now, I don't have any professional experience of being an Au Pair or nanny, but my mom told me that kids love being with me since I was young. I came to realize that I love kids when I was in high school. Taking care of kids is not a new thing for me since I have three nephews and they are 3-10 years old now already. I have always taken care of them since they are babies, I love to play with them, watch videos together, drawing and painting together, and put them to sleep.

I have never spent longer time abroad except from holidays but I am really used to live far away from my family for these past 10 years so I don’t think I will become particular homesick. I am looking for a host family that would be happy to have me as a part of their family and I am really curious to hear all about you and your children. I have read the information so far and it sounds really interesting. I hope we can develop a good relationship, working and living together as a family. I would be very happy to experience an eventful year with you and your kids. I am looking forward to hear it back from you.
