Introduction
My longest placement was with one family where I cared for their son from when he was just 6 months old all the way through age 4. I was with him for nearly every milestone — first steps, first words, first day of preschool. Even now that I've returned to Ghana, that family still calls me. That relationship tells you everything about how I approach this work.
I also cared for children aged 5–14 across two other Minnesota families, and one of my most meaningful experiences was designing a full summer learning programme for a newly adopted child who had just arrived in America. She needed help with math, science, social studies, and learning to navigate a whole new world — and by the time fall came, she was ready and confident. I love moments like that.
Beyond childcare, I'm a trained Personal Care Assistant (PCA) through a licensed Minnesota home care agency. I can administer medications, oxygen, and tube feeding, perform catheter care, operate wheelchair-accessible vehicle lifts, and monitor oxygen saturation during sleep. This means I'm also a strong fit for families with children who have medical or special needs.
Some things families tend to love about me:
I made chores fun — three kids, one summer, zero complaints. I turned it into a game, and they asked to do it again.
I plan meals thoughtfully — I actually built a meal planning app, so yes, I take nutrition seriously.
I'm calm in difficult moments. Working as a PCA taught me how to stay steady when things get hard.
I communicate openly with parents — no surprises, just trust.
I hold an Associate of Science in Biology, which gives me a strong foundation for safe, informed childcare. I'm CPR-trained and currently completing my formal certification.
I'm available for live-in or live-out positions and open to relocating internationally. I have strong written references from three U.S. families, including a formal letter from my primary host family.
If you're looking for someone who will love your children like family and manage your home with care and organization — I'd love to meet you.
