My name is Mary, and I am a Canadian who is currently living in Berlin for Masters Studies. I have worked as a nanny for the past 8 years, while living in Montreal, Canada ; Tokyo, Japan, ; and Berlin, Germany. In each city I have worked with a family long term, with kids ranging from 0 - 8 years old (I am very comfortable with infants with and toddlers). As well as babysitting, my duties with my former employers also included cooking, cleaning, and running errands.
During these experiences I have truly enjoyed working with children. I speak native English (and a little French and Japanese) and am studying German. I love traveling and the outdoors (camping, hiking etc.). As well as my experience in childcare, I have worked as an English teacher in Japan for students from 2 years old - 82 years old. I am comfortable tutoring English.
I would love the opportunity to meet you and work with your family. I am looking for part-time work, before and after classes as my schedule will allow. As well I will be available evenings and weekends.
