Introduction
My name is Patrícia . I’m single, I don’t have a boyfriend, I was raised in Matão until I’m 24. At the moment I live with a friend of mine, in Ribeirão Preto. These three mentioned cities are in the São Paulo State, but Ribeirão Preto has almost 700 million inhabitants, being a big city with lots of industries and business. It is a great city to live and it is known as Brazilian California.
I studied in UNIARA-SP, a conceptualized private University in São Paulo, and I’m graduated in Psychology. Now I’m taking graduate studies in Human Resources, in the University Barão de Mauá, here in Ribeirão Preto, concluding in February / 2016.
My parents are married and they have been living in Matão for 30 years. My father is retired and he is 58 years old, whereas my mother is a Social Assistant and she is 57. I also have two siblings who are older than me. The oldest of them is Jair, he is 29, and Elaine, my sister, is 28 yearl old and she lives in São Paulo.
I’ve been working for two years in a Consultancy of Human Resources Company, selecting employees and doing psychological evaluation. I share the spending and the responsibilities of the house with my friend: we pay the bills, cook, do the laundry, the dishes, iron our clothes and each one cleans your own bedroom and bathroom. I have no problem regarding living without my parents, since I’m already used to it. Since I was 13 I have helped my mother with housework; we did not have a maid and my sister and I were responsible for helping her with the housekeeping.
I drive since I was 18 and I always liked to do it.
From 2008 to 2010 I worked in the Prefecture of Matão, with a psychologist and social assistant, and I helped in the monitoring of teenagers who were from 15 to 24 years old. Organized together with the psychologist and Social Assistene in tours, lectures, films related to education, health, hygiene, prevention, Young Entrepreneurs. Participation in social events of the city, responsible in organizing art workshops and afternoon coffee. It was very good and fun!
In the middle of the year 2010 I was as na internship for four months at na Elementary School, with about fifteen kids Who were 5 and 6 years old. My function was to monitor, apply dynamic activities, play with them, help with the exercises and also look after them during the break.
From the end of 2012 to the beginning of 2013 I started helping, in sporadic days, monday, wednesday and friday, during the period of vacation, by three months. The daughter of a former teacher of mine, aunt of a friend. The girl was 8 years old. I was with her in his period vacation, in the morning until lunch, so in we were having breakfast together, which I put to her.
Then we were going to watch TV, watch a movie, drawing, listening to his music he liked, organization their belongings, or play with dolls, painted and desenhavamos. I had one day sure to accomplish each activity
In 2013 tha daughter of a very close friend was born and I had even more contact with kids. She lives in Matão and everytime I go there I help her to learn more how to take care of babies and understand a little more about the matter. I stay with the name, who is named Laura, in the afternoon. When my friend has an appointment I often offer to help her with Laurave his feeding, bathing, put to sleep, changed his diaper, we were walking in the park and we played very doll, watched movies, drawings, we painted and listen music.
I consider myself an optimistic person and I believe that we can deal with any situation of our day-by-day in a different and positive way. I like meeting new people, and most times I’m not shy. Once I’m already comfortable in the place or environment in which I am, I can socialize easily. I’m organized, responsible and I pay very attention to the activities I’m doing, even more with kids! I like listening to music, watching movies and surfing on the web. I haven’t read many books, I prefer articles and shot informative texts.
I decided to be an Au Pair because I hope this experience helps me with my English and also because working and studying in the England is a great “upload” to my career, professional and personally speaking. I also would like to live abroad and know a little more about the American lifestyle, at the same time I can share experiences with you. It will be amazing start this living your routine, that is partly different form ours here in Brazil.
I want to do the best I can and I will take care of your children as if they were my own children. I want to share with them all my knowledge and kindness!
I’m very excited and confident waiting you to t to know new places and have a different way of living, because I’m sure this will be an unforgettable experience! We certainly have a great mount of ideas and experiences to change!
Best regards,
Bye!!!
Patricia.
