This experience is uncharted territory for me. I am finding myself surprisingly drawn to certain aspects. My background is in finance, in my past career I was a VP, Sales Manager with CitiGroup. Currently, I have a consulting practice with a handful of clients (that I love to work with). I partner with them to redefine themselves and businesses by developing marketing strategies, curating innovative client events for high net worth clients and introducing new concepts to help them attract clients they enjoy working with. I have raised a fantastic son, he is 24. We should all live the life of Sam. I’m incredibly proud of him. He is a grounded, kind, driven young man that stays true to his values. He has a wonderfully diverse group of friends and is a productive member of the community we live in. I am considering opportunities that allow me to venture a bit out of my comfort zone. I find myself missing having kiddo’s around. I love babies, so sweet, but I have really been thinking with the right family I could share some of the things I learned as I raised my son. I would enjoy spending time with a child/children having a positive impact on their lives, create memories so to speak. I have always been a super creative person and I miss that in my life, making diorama’s, ceramics, art of various forms, I would enjoy re-learning things about history, the perspective of a child is invigorating. As a parent who always had a nanny for my son, live-in or not, to travel with my family or in different capacities, I know how much it means to a caregiver you are confident in. I know how valuable having another adult around can be at times to pick up the slack. I have a natural ability to read beyond what is unspoken. I also respect boundaries and other’s beliefs. I enjoy time alone and most importantly, I do not have an ego. I am confident in who I am and I truly care about others. This would be a mutually rewarding opportunity for all involved. Full transparency, I do not necessarily enjoy participating in sports, it’s just not my thing. I do enjoy attending sporting events, Ice Hockey, Baseball, Tennis,etc. You just don’t want me on your team. ;) I absolutely love to go and do things, however, I am perfectly content making a family meal or baking a decadent dessert or fresh cookies. I don’t have to be entertained. I can just be present. I can do that for you and your child. This leads me to my background. I grew up on a farm in South Dakota. (I was the South Dakota
Snow Queen. Ha!) I was quite a novelty with my Wall Street cronies as one could imagine. I still have family there, and my best friend from High School. I have grown to appreciate certain
aspects of that lifestyle, some of which I enjoy passing on. Simplicity in our world today is just difficult to uncover at times.
