Dear Future Host Family,

Thank you for taking the time to visit my profile! My name is Michaella, I'm 21 years old from the Philippines, and I recently graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management.

I grew up in a big family and am the second oldest of seven siblings. Since I have five younger siblings, I naturally took on a caregiving role from a young age. I prepared their meals, made their milk, changed diapers, helped with bath time, assisted with homework, played with them, and made sure they were safe while our parents were busy. Looking back, I was like a second mother to them, and those experiences taught me patience, responsibility, and how to care for children with love and understanding.

Beyond my siblings, I've also cared for my younger cousins, nieces, and godchildren. During my NSTP project in college, I volunteered at an orphanage where we organized feeding programs, played games, read stories, and spent quality time with the children. These experiences strengthened my love for caring for kids and showed me how rewarding it is to help them learn, grow, and feel supported.

In my free time, I enjoy going to the gym, playing volleyball and badminton recreationally, reading, solving puzzles, and painting by numbers. I also enjoy cooking, trying new recipes, and baking cookies. I'm still learning, but I love improving my skills and trying something new. I have four dogs and one cat, so I'm very comfortable around pets as well.

As an au pair, I hope to become more than someone who helps with daily routines. I hope to be someone your children can trust, learn from, and enjoy spending time with, like a caring older sister. I'm also happy to assist with light household tasks related to daily family life and childcare.

I'm excited to experience a new culture, improve my language skills, and share my Filipino culture and traditions with your family. I hope to build a relationship based on kindness, trust, respect, and open communication, creating wonderful memories together along the way.
