Introduction

Hello! My name is Kristina. It’s a pleasure to meet you.

I am a 19-year-old girl with many passions and interests who strives to uphold the highest standards for herself. I was born in Russia and moved to the United States when I was 8 years old. My parents got me an English tutor when I was just 4 years old, therefore the transition was remarkably smooth and I quickly adapted to the language through full immersion. I also have an older brother whom I grew up with and continue to share a close bond with as we navigate adulthood together.

First, I would like to share my academic background. I graduated from high school early at the age of 16 with both an AICE Cambridge Diploma and an Associate’s Degree. I was a straight-A student who particularly excelled in English comprehension and writing/composition—ironically, considering it was not my first language! My schedule consisted entirely of college courses, all of which I completed with outstanding results. Due to my academic performance, I was also awarded a university scholarship. Overall, I have a strong history of being a driven, high-achieving student who consistently strives for excellence.

Now, I would love to share some of the activities that bring fulfillment to my life. At the age of 3, my mother enrolled me in a professional rhythmic gymnastics school, where I quickly developed a deep passion for the sport. I competed nationally for many years and earned multiple gold and silver medals. In addition, at age 6, my parents enrolled me in a music school, where I learned to play the violin. I also took horseback riding lessons on the weekends. I am incredibly grateful that my parents encouraged me to pursue such a wide variety of activities from a young age.

Nowadays, I continue to lead an active lifestyle. I play tennis and maintain a weekly Pilates routine that I never miss. One of my personal favorite ways to keep my mind sharp is learning new languages. I genuinely enjoy exploring new hobbies and am always eager to discover everything life has to offer!

It would be a true blessing to have the opportunity to become an Au Pair abroad. I was first entrusted with the responsibility of being “in charge” of younger children back in Russia when I was 5 years old, whenever my younger relatives came over. After moving to America, I had the chance to meet many wonderful children whom I looked after. Most of them were the children of my parents’ friends. The parents were so happy with me that they began recommending me to others. Word quickly spread, and my schedule filled up relatively fast!

I have babysat newborns, infants, toddlers, young children, pre-teens, and teenagers. Most of my experience, however, is with children between the ages of 8 and 12. Nonetheless, I can get along with anyone! I enjoy meeting new people and having the opportunity to learn more about the many different personalities that make each person unique.

I enjoy playing board games with children, helping them learn languages through active conversation, taking part in playdates, reading stories, developing their soft skills, encouraging their artistic talents and other special interests, and most importantly—providing the safest environment possible for them to grow and thrive.

Ever since I was little, my parents made sure to take my brother and me with them on international trips. We have visited many different countries, and those experiences greatly shaped my open-mindedness and desire to learn about even more cultures and ways of life around the world. Traveling gives me a sense of community and an unwavering feeling of serenity, even when I am surrounded by people whose language I cannot understand, because at the end of the day, I feel deeply connected to all human beings on this planet.

Becoming an Au Pair would give me the opportunity to learn about your country and the people who live there. In return, I would be delighted to share a piece of America, Russia, or both—if you prefer—with your family, while also learning from yours.

In general, my personal values are rooted in my constantly evolving upbringing. I prioritize being kind to everyone around me. I am extremely optimistic and keep my social circle carefully curated to include people who are also positive thinkers. I never speak negatively about anyone or anything, even without bad intentions, because I believe in putting good energy out into the world.

I take great care of my mental and spiritual well-being and strive to maintain a healthy balance between inner peace and my daily responsibilities. I am naturally more of an introvert and highly value my personal time. I genuinely enjoy my own company and love spending time by myself. However, once I have recharged my social battery, I become one of the most extroverted people you will ever meet. For this reason, I am often described as easy-going, warm, and lighthearted.

I am excited to meet you and your family!
