Hello, my name is Hlumelo, and I am a 19 year old from South Africa who will be turning 20 soon.

I am a caring, responsible, and open minded person who enjoys spending time with children and learning about different cultures. Becoming an au pair is something I am genuinely excited about because it combines two things that are important to me, working with children and experiencing life in another country as part of a host family.

Although I do not have formal au pair experience, I have cared for younger children through babysitting family members, helping care for my younger sister while my parents worked, and volunteering in children's church programs. These experiences taught me patience, responsibility, and the importance of creating a safe and positive environment for children.

I enjoy activities such as reading, arts and crafts, baking, board games, outdoor activities, visiting parks, and helping children learn through play. I am happy to help with light household duties related to the children and to support the family wherever needed.

I do not smoke or drink, and I consider myself reliable, adaptable, and eager to learn. I am excited about the opportunity to share my South African culture while also learning about the culture, traditions, and daily life of my host family.
