Hello Future Host Fam,
I hope you are well! I am Leila a 25 year old and from the Philippines and looking for a host family. I have 2 years of work experience as a Primary English Teacher back in Thailand and I also did part-time work cleaning houses during my time in Canada. You don't have to worry about cooking as well as I have a good amount of experience cooking for my family and this is my love language and I am more than willing to learn the comfort meals you cook for your family and even share foods from my culture. These experiences I believe make me a good fit to be an au pair for your family.
I understand that juggling the task of taking care of your kids, and maintaining the house clean while working could be challenging for parents and that's where this program comes in handy. I have always had a passion for working with kids. A testament to this is my 2 year work experience as a Teacher back in Thailand.
Moreover, I am also the eldest of three siblings (we are all girls). I always had the responsibility of looking after my younger sisters growing up. That being said, you can be assured that I will treat your children like my siblings too.
Apart from that, another thing that I can contribute to your family aside from helping out with babysitting and housework is assisting them with their homework and creating activities that will help in enhancing their skills in the English language.
I understand how important it is to find the perfect candidate to join your family. It has to be someone whom you trust and someone who can guide your kids and keep them safe in your absence. I don't want to just be labeled as a helper or a babysitter in your family but I want to be able to build lifelong connections with my future host family. This I believe aside from having the opportunity to visit different countries and learn about a new culture is the best thing about joining the au pair program.
