Job Description

We are looking for a compassionate, reliable, and experienced Senior Care Provider to support an elderly gentleman with his daily care routine. The primary focus of this role is morning care and physical assistance, ensuring he starts each day safely, comfortably, and with dignity.

This position can be live-in or live-out, depending on the candidate’s availability and suitability. Continuity of care and a calm, respectful approach are essential.

Key Responsibilities
Personal Care and Morning Routine

Assist the senior in getting out of bed safely, using proper mobility and transfer techniques

Provide personal hygiene care, including washing, grooming, and dressing

Ensure the senior is clean, comfortable, and appropriately dressed for the day

Administer prescribed medication according to instructions and schedule

Prepare the senior to be seated comfortably in his chair, ready for the day

Mobility and Physical Support

Support light physical exercises or gentle movement as advised by healthcare professionals

Encourage mobility while maintaining a high level of safety

Assist with transfers from bed to chair or wheelchair

Monitor physical condition, balance, and signs of fatigue or discomfort

Wellbeing and Observation

Observe and report any changes in physical condition, mood, or behavior

Maintain a calm, reassuring presence that supports emotional wellbeing

Communicate clearly with family members or healthcare providers when required

Required Experience and Skills

Previous experience in elderly care or home care

Confidence with personal care, mobility assistance, and medication administration

Knowledge of safe lifting, hygiene standards, and fall prevention

Reliable, patient, and respectful attitude

Preferred Qualifications

Training or certification in caregiving, nursing assistance, or senior care

Experience working with reduced mobility

Basic first aid knowledge

Working Conditions

Live-in option includes private accommodation and meals

Live-out option involves scheduled daily visits, mainly mornings

Working hours and compensation to be agreed based on care needs

Long-term commitment preferred
